American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Founded in 1933, the Academy is the preeminent provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopaedic surgeons and others in the world. Its continuing medical education activities include a world-renowned Annual Meeting, multiple CME courses held around the country and at the Orthopaedic Learning Center, and various medical and scientific publications and electronic media materials.

American Medical Association
The American Medical Association helps doctors help patients by uniting physicians nationwide to work on the most important professional and public health issues. AMA policy on issues in medicine and public health is decided through its democratic policy-making process, in the AMA House of Delegates.

End the Epedemic 
The American Medical Association believes that science, evidence, and compassion must continue to guide patient care and policy change as the nation’s opioid epidemic evolves into a more dangerous and complicated illicit drug overdose epidemic.
Patient Safety

Patient Safety is critical in the care and practice of orthopaedics. The AAOS seeks to improve clinical decision-making and clinician-patient discussions perioperatively by providing education, resources, and through advocacy efforts. The AAOS serves its membership and the public by monitoring patient safety issues and programs as they relate to orthopaedic surgery, care, and practice.
